Forever in friendship
Born 1998, M, from Saint albans, United StatesIn a story of an old well used dog and a fragile three footed Tom cat, they were in partnership for life. The dog felt like a knight, and a guardian to the frail keen three footed cat. Furthermore they were bonded in the blood of friendship and overwhelmed with one another's unmeasurable affections. They did everything together, usually it took the cat some time to make it to the feeding area in their log home. But this was no problem because the sympathetic dog would stay at a steady pace following the cat that posed as the leader of their unusual group.
Most days were spent by the cat laying its shockingly slim body body onto the decorative wood flooring on the front porch. As the dog wasn't to far from him, he was close enough to where a simple meow would alert him to his post to, defend, guard, and protect from anyone or anything that would dare threaten the cat.
One day as the master called the dog did not follow the same routine of being a follower, he must've believed in being the leader for at least one time in his life. Well the master was under the impression that the three legged feline was inside and shut the door, locked for the remains of the short and getting shorter day.
The dog was frazzled and tried desperately to go back and retrieve his friend but the sounds of his barks were canceled out by the machine used to help his master find peace in sleep. As the night progress the cat got thirsty, so thirsty that it wander off to the woodland territory to a nearby stream that cut through those woodland just a little to the east of the house. The dog panic because he could sense that his friend was traveling alone, and no longer near his proximity.
Frantically the dog rushes onto the bed of his human jumping and yelping until he eventually knocked over the obnoxiously loud machine, unplugging it from the wall. He got his wish of going back out when his master dragged him out the door, the only thing that didn't go to plan was he chained the dog to the long metal rod coming out of the ground. The rod was made of steel and 5ft buried into the ground, basically making it impossible to move. The chain connecting this impenetrable rod was also mad of thick steel.
The dog still barked into the cool nights air, calling out to his friend. Then he could hear in the distance the cat rapidly shriek in high pitch meows. The dog tried and tried and tried to break free but there was no use. Then after fighting the resistance the chain put on his neck, straining each and every vein in his body the thick steel of the chain let loose.
Then the dog ran as quick as the laws of physics would allow him to, into the woodlands. Listening to the high pitch cries he began to track down the location of the noises. Three wolves were slowley stalking the three footed cat, circling the prey, and waiting to kill. They could've killed it in just a few seconds but the three wolves thought it would be more enjoyable to toy with the scared three footed cat.
The dog finally arrived to witness this unfold upon his greatly loved friend. The three foot cat at this time was about to find a grim ending. With the sped of a snap of the finger the dog launched itself in the crude huddle. With a light growl under his breath to the footed cat, the cat was to make its way as fast as it could to the the house, which it did.
The Wolves all at once pounce at an vulnerability the dog began to show as they tor through his flesh. The dog was strong and retaliated fiercely, he was not to be taken lightly nor as a fool. By the end of the confrontation there layed three dead, and one soon to collapse. The dog looked awful, he had small chunks removed and lacerations that formed and ocean of blood around him.
The three footed cat no longer heard a sound and felt it was safe to come back and in search of her victor. When the three footed cat arrived it saw the dog laying on the ground, in such awful conditions, only making short feint breaths. Now animals can't talk but the way the dog eyes looked upon his best friend you couldn't hear it but you could feel the three words "I love you." The dog Laid on the ground still warm to the touch but cold inside, his internal flame had been put out forever. The cat curled up laying as close into her friends chest as would allow.
