Georgia's Bear
Born 2003, F, from Worksop, United KingdomGeorgia went to the shops with her mum. She went to the toy isle and she saw a teddy bear with a beautiful pink ballet dress on. She asked her mum if she could have it but her mum said, “it’s too much money, you will have to wait to have it for your birthday”. Georgia felt sad. She really liked the bear and it was only £7.50. She had £4.00 in her money bank. Georgia decided she would have to make some money. But how could she make some money? She asked her dad if she could go round to everyone’s house on the street and do a ballet dance. Georgia went and did it. She got £1.50. It wasn’t enough. She had to do something else, but what? She really wanted her bear so she had to think of something quick. Georgia sat on her bed thinking, then all of a sudden she saw her old baby book. She thought, I could sell it. She went on to the street and she sold the book to a little girl called Emily. Her mum was very nice and gave her £2.50. She had enough money.
It was getting dark. Georgia went home to go to bed. In the morning she woke up had her breakfast and then ran to the shop. When she got there the bear was gone. Someone must have got it before her. She ran home crying. Her mum asked her what was the matter, but she didn’t answer she just ran upstairs into her room where she fell asleep. The next day was Georgia’s birthday. She was 5 years old. She wasn’t excited at all. The only thing she wanted was the bear. When she went downstairs she saw mum and dad dancing to 'we will rock you'. When she walked into the living room they started singing happy birthday. Mum offered Georgia a pink cupcake she ate it all up. Then she opened all of her presents and found the bear and she was so happy! The End
