Instincts
Born 1959, M, from Klerksdorp, South AfricaInstincts.
Instincts
A way of behaving, thinking, or feeling that is not learned.
A natural desire or tendency that makes you want to act in a particular way.
One day, a Lion realized that he was too old to hunt for food.
The Lion was sure he would soon die.
He was very sad and went home to his den.
As he walked home slowly, the Lion told the gossiping backstabbing hurtful Bird about his sad situation.
The Peacock Bird in all his beauty and splendour, but with a heart of stone, a conscious that did not exist, and a beak worse than a loud haler on a crisp morning breeze.
The Peacock Bird lived alone due to his gossiping and hurtful nature.
Nobody liked the Bird, but everyone loved his gossiping beak that kept them informed about the other creatures in the jungle doings.
Soon everyone in the forest heard about the Lion's situation and felt very sorry for him due to the bird’s loud beak. (Typical Behaviour for Humans)
So, one by one they came to visit the Lion in his den.
The Lion was old and weak but wise.
As each animal came into his den, they were easy to catch and eat.
Soon the old Lion became happy content and fat.
One day, early in the morning the Wolf came to visit.
The Wolf was very wise and intelligent too, due to years in the jungle learning from Mother Nature and about life and all the values, opinions, heartache, joys and education each animal and the birds had taught him about life in the jungle.
He slowly came close to the Lion's den, standing outside keeping his distance.
He asked if the Lion was feeling better.
Hello, my best friend said the Lion.
A very false comment.
Is it you the Wolf, they call Bacho? (Apache for Wolf)
I cannot see you very well.
My eyes are weak.
You are so far away.
Come closer please and give me some kind words and advice because I am old and will die soon.
While the Lion was talking, the Wolf was looking closely at the ground in front of the Lion's den. The Wolf’s wisdom of tracks and tracking wild animals was one of his best gifts and talents. Hence the fact that the Wolf had stayed alive and so wise for so long.
Finally, the Wolf looked up and said to the Lion,
I am sorry but I have to leave. I have to take care of my family, whom I love and care for so much.
I am very nervous, and my Instincts tell me to be wary because I see all the footsteps of many animals going into your den, but I see none coming out of the den again.
Bacho turned and left the Lion’s den, happy, content, and alive.
The Moral of the Story:
In life, your Instincts are like your heart.
If you do not look after your heart you will die.
If you do not listen to your Instincts, like Bacho, you can also die.
The more you look after your heart, the more you will improve your life day by day.
The more you listen to, and adhere to your Instincts, the more Instincts will be part of your life day by day.
Instincts and feelings go hand in hand.
Instincts, Wisdom, and Caution can protect you from deceit, danger, and an inevitable survival.
In life, we are all born with our own Instincts.
We do not use them as often, as we always believe the opposite side always has good intentions and is always right.
But sadly, those bad intentions or devious ways can turn into hurt and pain and a total disaster in your life. Leave massive wounds that become scars for the rest of your life.
If you truly believe your Instincts, follow and believe them diligently.
Always observe the signs and trust your Instincts before placing yourself in potentially sad, harmful, hurtful, and dangerous situations.
The Wolf Bacho survived because of his Instincts.
Be the Wolf, do the same…….
