Dying Earth
Born 2007, F, from Fort Myers, Florida, United StatesDying Earth
I break myself down into pieces
I die slowly
Acid rain
I cry in painful agony
Smoke filling my lungs
As I litter the earth of what’s left of my body
My soul burns in the forest fires
Even after I spend an eternity constructing my home, it breaks down
War, bloody swords, bullets fired
The eagle tries to fly, but it’s hunted down
They laugh at my failures in my attempts to thrive
I drown in a sea, alone with no life around me
Yet I continue to weep at Mother Nature’s funeral
Filled with grief, I fall down into a black hole
And the demons who kill the flowers that once bloomed,
Do it all with a grin
