Brave: Disturbance In The Castle
Born 2010, M, from Jackson,MS, United StatesAs the first light of dawn painted the sky in shades of rose and gold, the peaceful Eldergreen gardens came to life. The Maiden castle, a sanctuary for mice, shrews, otters, and hedgehogs, stood blissfully, amidst the verdant beauty, its stone walls echoing with the chatter of its inhabitants.
I scurried through the bustling courtyard, my heart pounding with the weight of my discovery. "I have the latest news about the latest mischief wrought by the rats." I panted, approaching Father Timothy, a strong old mouse, known for his wisdom.
Father Timothy turned to me, his eyes narrowing with concern. "What have they done this time?" he asked, his voice tinged with a strange mixture of frustration and determination.
"They raided the granary again, and killed three hedgehogs" I exclaimed, my whiskers quivering in anger. "And they left us with barely enough food to last the week."
Father Timothy's brows furrowed as he processed the news, his jaw clenching with resolve. "Nadiz and his followers grow bolder with each passing day," he muttered, his tone unwavering. "We cannot allow them to continue terrorizing our home, I need you to be the leader, because as you can see I'm very old." "I-i-i-i don't think-"Yes you can" interrupted Father Timothy, "You are the great-great-great grandson of "Maiden" the First Warrior, you can do it!
When I knew that there was no arguing with Father Timothy, it sent a shiver down my spine, to know I was to be the one. I nodded in agreement, knowing that I could do it. As I stood at the entrance of the Maiden castle, gazing out upon the moonlit Eldergreen gardens, my heart raced with anticipation. The time had come to confront the evil that had plagued our peaceful home for far too long. I squared my shoulders and took a deep breath, ready to face Nadiz and his horde of ruthless rats.
