THE CHRISTMAS TREE
Born 1988, M, from ENGLAND, United KingdomOne Winter’s evening, a father and son were preparing to put up a Christmas tree.
The father, whose name was Brian, fitted the tree onto its stand and placed it in a corner.
He then wound the fairy lights around the tree and three pieces of tinsel, one red, one silver and one gold.
After that, Brian’s son, whose name was Steve, added the other decorations.
To begin with, he added twenty baubles. Four were green, four were gold, four were red, four were blue and four were silver.
Secondly, he hung twelve multicoloured tinsel balls onto the tree.
At times he had to stand on chairs to reach the higher branches.
When the tinsel balls were on the tree, Steve added eight, beautifully glazed, clay decorations. There was a snowman, a Santa, a reindeer, a stocking, a slay, a present, a Christmas tree, a holly wreath and a teddy bear.
Steve added sixteen gold and silver bells next. Then it was chocolates, followed by candy sticks.
Now there was only one decoration left.
Brian lifted Steve up onto his shoulders, to place the fairy on top of the tree.
He then switched on the fairy lights.
The tree with all decorations was a majestic sight to behold.
A work of art.
