The Story of my Life
Born 2006, F, from Dallas, TX, United StatesI was born into a family of one. It was mom, dad, Victoria, and me, Cassie. When I was 5, my parents told me that my mother was pregnant. I was so happy. Nine months later, my mom started having contractions, and they were getting closer by the minute, so my dad took my mom to the hospital because she was going into labor. Play left me at home with my sister Victoria. Victoria watched TV, and I watched my shows on her iPad. When the phone rang, my sister ran to get it. After she got off the phone, she told me she had some good news and some bad news; she asked which one I wanted to hear first, and I said good news. The good news was that my mom had twin girls. The bad news was that one of the twins didn't make it. I was unfortunate but also happy because I was getting a new sister. When my parents came home, I was so excited to see my little sister. My mom named her Violet. I loved her the moment I saw her. She had a little bit of blond hair, and she seemed so happy! When my mom asked me if I wanted to hold her, I said yes. It was so fun to hold her.
When Violet turned one, we went to Disney World. It was super fun. We rode the roller coasters, met all of the Disney characters, and when the day was done, we saw the fireworks. The next day, we went to the Magic Kingdom then at night, we got to go to the Haunted Mansion. We stayed at the Walt Disney World Resort. Sadly it was time for us to leave Walt Disney World and go back home because our summer was ending and school was about to start. This year I would be in the first grade, and my sister Victoria 7th. I was so excited to be moving up in a Grade. This boy in my class his name was Jake and he became an excellent friend. By the sixth grade, we started to like each other, and I mean like have a crush on each other. 7th grade, it was official that Jake and I were boyfriend and girlfriend. Our relationship blossomed through the years, and when we were in high school, my parents said we were moving to New York, so I had to tell Jake that I was moving to New York. He was so devastated, and it was so hard to tell him, but he handled it like a champ. He told me he'd miss me, and I'll miss it too, but I knew that moving was for my good. We lived in a dirty neighborhood, and we got sick because that neighborhood had a lot of diseases.
When I moved to New York, I made friends super quickly. I had a great rest of the school year since I moved halfway through the school year. Surprisingly, in the last two months, my boyfriend decided to surprise me. He texted me, “Hey, Babe! I got a surprise for you after school; go to your house, the surprise will be waiting for you! Love you.” -Jake. I was so shocked when I came home! He was there! no video call or anything. “ Babe?” I asked, confused. “Sup, babe! Did you like my surprise?” “OMG, YASSSS! I loved it!” We kissed, and he told me that he'll be staying for good and that he'll be going to my school next year. I was so happy. When it was summer, I decided that some days I would hang out with my friends and Sundays with my boyfriend. I didn't tell them that I had a boyfriend, though. So as we were talking about boys, school, and family, I decided to tell them because I felt that this was the best time. “Hey guys, I have something to tell y'all.” “Spill the tea, sista,” they said. “I have a boyfriend.” “Ooooooo, who is the lucky guy?” They asked, “His name is Jake. He’s funny, handsome, caring, and very supportive!” “You're so fortunate, girl. It’s very hard to find that type of guy.” *Ding* went my phone. “Oh, it’s a text from him,” I told them. It read, “Hiya Babe, I just wanted to know if you wanted to go to the movies together tonight?” I immediately said, “YES, I would love to!” “Great, I’ll pick you up at 8! Love you!” ”Love you too, baby!”
He arrived at my house around 8, and when I opened the door he handed me a bouquet of roses. OMW, he’s such a gentleman! “Shall we go, m’lady?” he asked. “Yes, we shall!” I said. He opened the door for me, and I got in. A few minutes later, we arrived at the movies. We were going to see Sing Two. Two hours after the movie finished, we decided to go out for dinner at Olive Garden! The food was delicious! I got a Caesar salad and lasagna. I got home around 11 p.m. and went straight to bed. The next day my parents told me that they were going on a trip, and they wanted me to watch my younger sister Violet, who was in eighth grade. My older sister Victoria couldn't watch her because she was away at college.
I hugged my parents as they were leaving and then called my boyfriend to see if he and his little sister wanted to come over. “I'm down, we’ll be there in 30 minutes,” He said and hung up. When he came over, we watched a movie while our younger siblings hung out with each other. They ended up spending the night. The next day we decided to go to the mall. We spent all day there until it closed. We all went to dinner, then back to the house because the girls wanted another sleepover. After we said goodnight to our siblings, we decided to watch a movie. Around 11:30 p.m. we heard a knock at the door. I opened it to see a police officer standing there with his hat off. “I’m sorry for your loss,” He said. “May I ask what happened?” I asked “Apparently your parents were murdered in their hotel,” he replied. “Thank you for informing us, officer.” My Boyfriend said. “Again I'm sorry for your loss," he said as he was walking out. When Jake closed the door I couldn't hold my emotions in anymore because I didn’t want to cry in front of the officer, so I just let it all out when Jake closed the door.
The next day after I was calm. I called my older sister Victoria to tell her the bad news that my parents had been murdered. She was devastated. She told me that she was coming home as soon as she could so that we could plan the funeral and be with us through this hard time. She texted me that she was at the airport waiting for us to pick her up.

03/06/2023This is really good. I really enjoyed the twist of when her parents died. It kinda reminds me of when I don't like to cry in front of others. Very Good!
