He Calls Me Buddy
Born 2012, F, from Portland, Oregon, United StatesHe Calls Me Buddy PART 1
First of all, I am most definitely NOT called Buddy. Mother gave me a name for a reason! I shall be known as Sir Ivan The Third! Father and Grandfather passed down the name, as I shall also treat them with most respect. I love Master dearly, but one thing is for sure- I am NOT called Buddy! In my puppyhood, I did not know anything. Master called me Buddy once, twice, THRICE! I do not need such a short, stubby, informal name!
And now, I am on the front seat in which they call "shotgun" to pick up Master. He was in some sort of building that I do not know the name of... I sit patiently on the soft seat, sometimes licking Master's mother's face. Although her face tastes similar to bitter chemicals, I shall still love my family members dearly. We arrive at the big building. I always make a grand entrance, so I shake my long white fur out of the way. Master's mother makes this yakking noise, but I assume it's no big deal. She opens the big, thin, sheet of glass, so I stick my head out. "Greetings, fellow children! Have you seen Master?" I say. The children giggled. I snorted and made my way back to my seat. I began my puppyhood in England, and Mother told me always to negotiate before barking or getting into a dogfight. But as Afghan hound, that's what's expected-Graceful and skilled. I finally spot Master walking to our vehicle. He runs over to me saying "Hey Buddy, ready to go?" There it is again. What's with people and "Buddy?" I barked at him in annoyance. "Yeah, I know you're excited to see me." Wow, this kid is something. I flicked my hair when suddenly a hand reached in. A lady patted my long fur, saying, " I like this dog. He's like a human!" Well I definitely have something to say about that. "Excuse me, Ma'am, I am Sir Ivan The Third! And yes, I come from a strong pedigree and I do have some human characteristics, but I am certainly not a human, I am BETTER!
