I school at Beads Tembea Academy that's located in Kajiado county. My classmates are of different tribes but mostly the Masai tribe commonly known as maa. They have an amazing culture and they still practice some of their cultures. They stopped female genital mutilation just a year ago and some are still educated on their effects. I enjoy their company and I appreciate their culture. They make beautiful ornaments and jewelries that capture someone's eye and attention, though both genders wear them. Men can wear theirs as belts and bangles, while women wear them as necklace, bangles, earrings and chockers. One of their special beads is one that has a name on it. They live in polygamous families and they have a lot of sibling ranging up to 51. They live in houses called " manyattas" which are made up of cow dung, mud and grass. They are so talented in dancing and singing ,they wear matching attires and their voices are so melodious. Women move their necks amazingly while men jump up so high. I love my classmates and they made a beautiful bead for me.
