My first time abroad was in March 2019, I was very excited for going to Singapore with my parents. Everything was ready for the trip but two days before the travel my mom told me that she wasn't going to be able to travel with us because my grandma got sick and my mother had to look after her. However, she told us to go without her. I was very sad because I wanted my mom to travel too, but first things come first, and my grandma needed my mom.
The big day came in, I got my suitcase ready, we first arrived in Miami and then we flew to Madrid. We stayed there for six hours to visit my brother Klaus, who was spending his vacation over there and it was his birthday too. We spent some time with him at a restaurant and then flew twelve hours to Singapore.
My dad is a businessman so he had an event from his company and he set up an event for me to meet kids of my age and make new friends. The first thought that came to my mind when we arrived was the incredible buildings and how modern the city looked. We stayed in a very nice hotel and I met three friends, two of them were Mexican and the other one Italian. We spent a lot of time together, we shared our culture, customs, hobbies, interests, etc. We kept in touch after our fantastic trip, actually, nowadays we still keep in touch and play live video games from our own country. I found three good friends and that makes me realize that friendship does not have frontiers, flags or culture, we are all humans from the same planet.
