Once there was a peaceful land in Japan. It was named Yamato. Malia, the daughter of Idun, the goddess of spring and rejuvenation, lived peacefully in Yamato. Until one day, everything was dark. It was like a solar eclipse... except the sun disappeared. Rain clouds vanished. Yamato didn’t have much time until harvest time. Malia woke up to darkness. She checked her phone. “9:00 IN THE MORNING?! ITS THIS DARK?!” Said Malia. She set outside. She checked the crops. They needed sun and water. Malia sprang off to find water and light. Dark monsters appeared, all attacking Malia. Malia was afraid. But not afraid enough to not kick them off. ? Malia was surrounded though! There weren’t enough to fight off. But, somehow she was saved. There was a beautiful woman with blonde hair and a staff. She looked like who she remembered from Malia’s childhood. Mother? No, mother was dead... at least that’s what Malia thought. Then she remembered! Idun, the goddess of spring and rejuvenation, the Norse Ásynjur! “But that was from Mythology class... I must be seeing things” thought Malia. But no. It was real “I am your mother” said Idun. “NO WAY!?????” screamed Malia. “MOTHER IS DEAD!” “How could she be dead,” said Idun. “If she is standing right before you.” Idun went to Yamato and restored the sun and rain clouds. Rain poured down. Crops grew. By harvest time, the crops were ready. From that day on, Malia went on adventures with Mother every day.
