I wrestle with a Porky-pine
Born 2003, F, from Cicho California, United StatesMe and my BFF, Pema love going on walks in the park and talk about boys, drama and other important life stuff. but on this one day something shaky was in the air. As we walked in the big park I felt a warm breeze in the air and I heard a rustle in the bushes next to the path we were walking on. Me being the brave one I decided to check it out. In the bushes was the most unexpected thing. There lying on the ground was a animal that looked something like a rat. I turned around and looked at Pema, she turned a pale shade of white. "a-a porky- pine" she screamed and took off running in the other direction. the porky-pine looked at me and made some sort of hiss and flexed its back and showed a huge amount of sharp prickles. I screamed and ran after Pema, she always was the smart one. But the porky-pine was was too fast, he lunched a bunch of thorns right into my back side. Then knowing he made a point the porky-pine turned and went back to the bushes. I was wounded, those things hurt more than you would think. Lets just say we spent the rest of the day pulling thorns out of my rump.
