Two Hands Together
Born 2003, M, from Beaverton, Oregon, United StatesFriends are not just people who can do activities with you, nor are they the ones you call and say “Hi, i’m bored! Come over!”. Friends are much more than that. They are the shoulder you can cry on, the person who always stands up for you. They copy you, not to take the credit themselves, but because you are a great influence on them. Everyone always drags themselves into a fight, no matter how close your friend is to you. Have you ever thought to yourself, how meaningless it is to fight, and possibly lose your friend. People fight about the littlest problems, such as “You took my book! You didn’t like my picture on FaceBook!” What’s in it for you?
Have you ever had a moment where you say something you absolutely don’t mean? I know I have. Many people experience this speech problem, and end up losing their only true friend. It gets even harder when you have to sweetly explain the problem to that friend. But, if you ever get into that situation just go and talk to them. If he/she is a close friend to you they are sure to understand your emotions.
Hanging on to your friend can be hard, especially if you are moving far away from them, or if they just don’t understand you. Hang on to your friend for as long as you possibly can, but remember, there are always fish in the sea. To keep the bond together, video chat, call each other, email, or get a friendship necklace or bracelet. If you really love that friend, then you will always have your two hands together.
