SEARCHING SPANISH TREASURE
Born 1942, F, from Clearfield, utah, United StatesFINDING SPANISH TREASURE
My two sons are each so different, yet the same in many ways.
I remember when they were hell bound to find Spanish Treasure, that suposedly is buried here in Utah, below Strawberry Resevoir. This is where they also discovered gold in a river in the same area. Yes, they staked a claim!
When the Spanish came, they marked trees, telling where they hid their treasures.
They wanted so badly to find the Spanish Treasure, and to dig for gold. My lovely cast iron frying pan...s left the kitchen, along with other things. And yes, they robbed the freezer too, for their three day adventure.
They took a couple of friends along with them. Rob used his skills, reading these trees. Then he also used some kind of a dousing fork, to find objects, water, and other things. Max started digging a hole, ended up going down ten or more feet. No treasure was found, so they had to fill it back in, but the stories they told when returning home were astounding. They were so sure the gold was near......
I just love they're true enthusiasm into what ever they are seeking, and their stories are to die for. One kid even came back with an enity from the 1500's, and yes, he went to a hypnotist, it was recorded....I heard the tape.....almost unbelieveable. Obviously my iron pans are still somewhere at the scene. But, those two when they get together have the best of times....I do love the special care they have for each other.....there's no one like my sons.....They are so much fun to be around.
