Guilt of death
Born 2000, F, from NSW, AustraliaScreams. Lights. Anna woke up being tired from the medication she had taken for heart failure. Today was the day she was going to go camping with her friends. She also already left a suicide note and love message on her mothers table. The sweet aroma of the food downstairs was enough to lift her off the bed. When she was downstairs her mum greeted her with a warm smile. Anna just greeted back with a wave and ran out of the door with her backpack. She couldn't believed how long she'd slept.
Anna was at the train station at Redfern. The train came early. She boarded the train and sat next to an old window. Throughout the trip she thought about the time at camp long ago, the time she ran alway because of a fake mouse. When she turned around her eyes were captured by the burnt out car as she stared through the dusty window of the 6:30pm train to Minto from Redfern. She blinked a couple of times. 'Am i imagining?' Anna asked herself. Out of the window was a burnt out car with a tint of blue and what seemed like a piece of white material stuck to it. She saw a burnt out car again and again like a twisting tornado it started to mess with her mind. It looked like her boyfriends car. The rare shade of sky blue. The white material like her dress that night she wore to the prom. Then it struck her that cold winter night, the night of June the 27th, when her boyfriend's car lost control and collided with another and it rolled and rolled. Anna remembered that she'd escaped and her boyfriend and two dearest friends deseperately tried to get out. Their cries and screams hollered in her head. She remembered the colour of orange and how she tried again and again to at least get them out but the blast of colour sent her flying metres down the road. 'That's it' she told herself. everyone died except for me. Tears then began to roll down her cheeks like a broken tap.
On the train Anna felt a blast of cold chills and she reached out to cover the window of memories. That was when she saw it, a face, her boyfriend's. It was a sweet grin and smile but it only lasted for a moment. Anna closed her eyes thinking it was her mind playing a trick on her, but the burnt out car kept on appearing. She suddenly heard voices, they were soothing but wails and screams cut it short, it sounded all too familiar. When she opened her eyes again she noticed there were only a few people sleeping, nothing much. Anna thought of the burnt out car and she felt guilty.
Then the train stopped at Minto train station. Anna stepped off the train. There weren't that many people. While walking Anna felt so much guilt, she felt trapped and she remembered her boyfriend's and dearest friends parent shouting at her saying 'You should have been killed too you rat, I won't forgive you for what you have done to my child'. Anna felt suicidal. Anna's feelings and head started to mess with her. There weren't that many people around now. She wanted to jump onto the tracks, but there wasn't any train around anymore.
Anna thought of the suicide plan and love message she left on her mothers table. She felt very depressed. In her mind she saw the burnt ashes of her friends bodies. Anna turned around to go the other way to get home but she didn't notice that she was too close to the edge of the platform and fell straight onto the tracks herself. A train came that moment and hit Anna. her screams made everyone jump and the train stop. She died after a few minutes because of brain injury. The crime squad came and declared it a crime scene. Her own mother never wanted to know about it anymore and eventually committed suicide herself.
