Why I Don't Stand on the Train Tracks
Born 1998, F, from CA, United StatesI woke up to the sun shining in my face. I threw my clothes on, and ran outside to see if my friends could play outside. I knocked on their doors and they answered. ''Hello tina!'' shouted becky. "Lets's go get the others." We got all the rest of our gang, four girls, which consisted of me, becky, tanya, and cathy. Every morning we woke up and dared each other to do stupid things. ''Lets go do our dare today by the train-tracks'' said becky. ''Uh...Ok!!'' I replied. So we all headed out to the tracks. ''I wanna go first!'' shouted Tanya. Everyone started mumbling things to her on who and what to dare. ''I think I will dare.......you, Tina!!'' I was shocked. Nobody ever chose me. ''Ok!!'' i said in a cool but excited voice. ''I dare you to go over there...to the tracks....and stand on them for five minutes.'' I gulped so hard everyone heard and started laughing. I knew I couldn't let my friends down or anything, so i had to do what they dared me to do. I started to walk over there slowly. I stood there on the tracks. ''We will be right back'' said Cathy. we're gonna go get something to drink.'' ''No!!'' I shouted. ''You guys can't just leave me here!!'' I tried to run, but something was stopping me. My foot was caught in between the tracks. I struggled to get out, and i shouted as loud as i could for my friends to come back, but they didn't listen...they keft me...stuck... I heard something in the distance, but i couldn't tell what it was until the tracks started to vibrate. ''Help!!!'' i shouted at the top of my lungs. The train got closer. ''Please, somebody!!!'' I knew i was going to die. I looked up to the sky and said a prayer. And when i opened my eyes, everything was white...but white...I knew where I was. ''Thank you Lord'' i said to myself as i disappeared in the distance.
