Once there was a girl who was 12 years old. She locked herself in a room because she depressed from her circumstances. She was alone in a dark locked room. She looked into dark pit and found nothing but herself. While looking into dark pit, she was continuously thinking about her state of affairs. She was suffering from severe pain. She felt like her heartbeat was racing up and up. She felt that her whole world turned into a dark sphere. She was hopeless and thinking that life is over now. She was remembering her parents each and every word. The truth exploded to show its existence.
Her parents said to her:
‘We have aspiration to be separated. We have tried to encourage this marriage for many years but, now it seems our patience is ended and we unable to live in a relationship more. We both love you and your happiness and wishes are very important for us. You are and shall for eternity be the earth to us. But my dear, we are really sorry, we cannot live in a relation as husband and wife. It’s now enough for us dear. Please try to understand us’.
She had permanently seen them arguing and fighting, at any time her eyes rolled up with many questions. Everyone told her that they were clearing or resolving their problems, which is routine in a relationship. Despite the fact that deep down she knew they were fooling her. Her inquiring eyes had to struggle against assisting her tears. Her pillow had witnessed every case or demand when she slipped into a silent breakdown. Who knew that the middle night cries, which some people examined it as a stress or over burden of study. No one knew the reason behind her tension. Violence was by no means used, however a violence had full birth in her behavior. The cheerful pretty girl was revolving into an unsocial low kid.
All of a sudden the complete judgment came to a halt. 'Maya? Are you listening? We are trying to tell you something serious.’
Her father tried to drag her out of her thoughts. ‘Yes Dad, I am. I know you both imagine or expect me to understand. I promise I’ll try my best. Please take it easy and say whatever you feel?' She whispered every bit of power she had. She had told it as complete.
Her mother stood in a corner. Her swollen eyes scattered the pain she was undergoing. She said to her daughter:’ O my dear, we can feel your pain, but if we live in a relation the things would worsen. We are doing this not only for us but also for you. At the moment you hold to finish between us. I know dear it is very difficult for you. I am talking unbelievable. I fear I am to blame. I destroy everything. But I love you….Not only me your dad loves you. You will be our first priority till our ultimate breath. You do not think that you will be alone after we've got separation. It is right that one of us would not be around very often."
"Maya….we…" her dad lost his words while speaking because he was not assured that she was listening to them.
Maya sat and tightly held her pillow. Looked Strong and determined.
She asked them ‘When are you ending your relation? When are you filing your divorce case in court?" She felt that only formality was left between them. Her mother told her probably on the 29th of this month.
"Amazing! That’s really nice… so what do I have to say in court? I really do not know. If they asked me to choose one between you two? What do I say?" She said all these in severe pain.
She all the time studied about divorce on internet and through different articles. She was just 12 and thought she had grown a lot more than her age. She faced many problems in only 12 years of her life.
Her parents sank deeper in disgusting feeling. They were hopeful to make their reasons clear to her but her replies were thinning them with pain. No matter how much they hated each other, but the fact that they both love their daughter… this had become a great pain for them. The choices were very little and limited. They both asked what she wants, what’s her decision? They will fulfill her every single wish until their last breath.
She looked upset and sad but she had taken her decision and just had to speak. "I want to live with my grandparents." Her words produced a vacuum in the room. Her parents looked puzzled at her decision. "They love me very much. They never leave me alone. They have been living alone since many years. I know and understand that you both have not much time to meet with them, but no problem. You both have many responsibilities so you have not any time. You both should not worry... take it easy… I decide that I live with them. We will have fun. We will go to market and on vacation. we will go on a foreign trip. We will live our life happily. At least they have someone with whom they can share their feelings and emotions. I will always be there for them and they will for me. They will always support me. They will become my backbone. We will be live as a family which I never had. I love them very much.”
This statement made her parents speechless. They did not have a single word to clear their point in front of her. They feel and realize that they have done injustice to their close and dear ones. This was eating them up, however nearby was a prolonged aspect to go. They could not change their decisions. Nonetheless her expressions were philosophy provoking. Silence ran across.

06/26/2021Very sad story. Divorce is always heartbreaking, but moreso when their are children involved and the family is torn apart. I hope the child in this story had a more happy life with her grandparents and still being able to also see her two parents separately.
