HIDDEN REALMS PART ONE
Born 1988, M, from ENGLAND, United KingdomHIDDEN REALITIE’S PART ONE
INTRODUCTION
It was a very peaceful, calm day out in the Pacific Ocean. The tranquil water was lit up by a glorious Sun set in a cloudless sky, which stretched to the four horizons.
Then there was the yacht with the multicoloured sail, floating all alone at sea. How many miles from land? A few? Several? Dozens? Hundreds? Thousands?
Standing on the deck, were three people – a man, a woman and a boy.
The man, whose name was Jed Hunter was between thirty and forty years of age. He had shoulder length, wavy black hair, sky blue eyes, brown jeans a light grey shirt with sleeves, a pair of black shoes, a cowboy hat and a ring on one of the fingers of his right hand.
The woman was called Marion Hunter. She was also between thirty and forty years of age with chest length, wavy dark red hair, green eyes, a white shirt with sleeves, black jeans, dark brown shoes, a cowboy hat and a ring on one of her left-hand fingers.
As for twelve-year-old Jack Hunter, he looked very much like Jed, who was his Father, except for the freckles on his face and his Mother’s eyes. He wore dark blue jeans, a yellow t-shirt, black and white trainers and a cowboy hat.
They all just stood there so peacefully, unaware of the mist, which had appeared out of nowhere behind them.
Closer and closer the mist got, until it shrouded the yacht.
The three sailors, who were used to the sea, were in for an astonishing shock.
Instead of clearing, the mist vanished into thin air – revealing an island, no more than a mile away with sheer cliffs, grassy slopes strewn with boulders, trees and a beach between two headlands.
“I must be imagining things,” said Marion.
“How can an island just appear out of nowhere?” Jed asked.
“Maybe it’s a magic island,” said Jack.
“I won’t rule that out,” Jed said.
“Why don’t we explore it?” asked Marion.
“Very well,” Jed replied. “There’s no reason why we shouldn’t.”
“But it might vanish again,” said Jack.
“Well, there’s that possibility,” Marion said.
At that very moment, another bizarre thing happened. The yacht of its own accord, began to move directly towards the island, which baffled the sailors, seeing as there was not the slightest breeze.
“What goes on here?” asked Marion.
“I don’t like this,” Jack said.
The yacht went on and on, until it beached itself.
“Amazing,” said Jed.
“We’ve got to explore this place,” Marion said.
“I don’t know,” said Jack.
“Come on Son,” Jed said.
“Oh very well,” said Jack.
“That’s the spirit,” said Marion, who went below deck.
When Marion came up again, she had in her hand a red shirt for Jack, and a rucksack. Following her, was a wolfhound, with (HERCULES) engraved in a golden star attached to a brown collar.
“Let’s go then,” Jed said.
So everyone went ashore.
They were just about to make for a footpath leading up to the lowest headland, when something else happened.
Out of thin air, there appeared two figures – a man and a woman – both of whom had long golden hair, sky blue eyes, shimmering silver suits, bright silver sandals and youthful appearances.
Hercules started barking.
“What goes on now?” Marion asked.
The figures slowly approached the sailors, who were still and speechless. As for Hercules, he cringed back and hid behind his owners.
“Please don’t be frightened,” the man said calmly. “We’re not going to cause you people any harm.”
“Why have you appeared before us?” asked Jack, who like his parents, didn’t know what to make of it.
“Because we want to take you to our island dwelling,” the woman replied soothingly.
“How do we know that this isn’t some kind of trickery?” Jack asked his parents.
“We are very peaceful beings,” said the man. “And we wish no harm to any form of life.”
There was silence for a moment.
“Very well,” Jed said. “We’ll meet the rest of your people, but not for long. After all, we must go home and tell our friends and other relatives about this place.”
“That can’t be allowed I’m afraid,” said the woman.
“Come again,” Marion said.
The woman closed her eyes and the boat vanished into thin air.
A WORLD INSIDE AN ISLAND
“What is the meaning of this?” Jed asked.
“It is simply for our own protection,” replied the man.
“I don’t understand,” Marion said.
“If you three people go back to the mainland and speak of this place, then many more will come,” said the man.
“I presume that you and your people are a secret society?” Jack asked.
“You are right,” replied the woman. “That is why you mainlanders cannot leave this island.
“That sounds reasonable enough,” said Jed.
“You beings must be very highly advanced,” Marion said.
“Indeed we are,” said the man. “We can make this island disappear and reappear at will, draw vessels to the beaches, make them disappear, make ourselves appear and disappear, create mists – as a means to lure nearby sailors here and much more.”
“Amazing,” Jack said.
“What are your names?” asked Marion.
“My name is Orycon,” the man replied. “And this is
Eyuriah.”
“We know who you all are,” said Eyuriah.
“How?” asked Jed, who was taken aback.
“Our people are highly telepathic,” Orycon replied. “We know everyone on and in the Earth.”
The mainlanders were stunned by what Orycon had just said.
“What do you mean by in the Earth?” asked Jed.
“You’ll find out at a later time.”
“Take us to your people for now then,” Marion said.
“Well we’re pleased that you’re all enthusiastic,” said Eyuriah.
“Is your settlement invisible too?” Jack asked.
“In a way,” replied Orycon.
“What do you mean by that?” Jack asked.
“You shall see,” replied Orycon.
He walked straight towards the cliff and placed his hand on it. And then, a keyhole shaped opening appeared.
“Don’t be scared,” Eyuriah said.
The mainlanders and their dog, which was still very nervous, approached the dark opening.
“Is the settlement in some kind of hidden cavern?” asked Jed.
“Yes,” Orycon replied.
He went into the cliff side then turned round to face everyone.
“Who wants to come first?” he asked the mainlanders.
“I do,” replied Jack.
The young lad was still unsure of things, but it all changed when he entered the cliff.
“I just can’t believe it,” he said.
What Jack saw was what he could only describe as an illusion.
Behind him was the opening, the sea and the rest of the group, but before him, there was a most unrealistic sight.
Instead of a dark dingy cave, there was a gigantic open space with an atmosphere, all lit up by some kind of pale bluish grey lighting.
Within the titanic cavern, there was an area of low hills covered with lush emerald grass, unknown flowers of many colours, giant mushrooms and large crystals.
There was life there too, such as rabbits, butterflies
and birds all over the place.
Then there was the golden road – embedded with all kinds of precious gems, which wound its way out of sight before Jack.
As for the cavern, it was immeasurable – immeasurable because its other sides were out of sight and the ceiling was over three miles high, maybe four.
Jed entered the cavern next, followed by Marion, then Hercules and finally Eyuriah.
“I must be seeing things,” Marion said.
“Me too,” said Jed. “This can’t be real.”
“It’s real,” Orycon said.
“I don’t understand it,” said Marion.
“Our island is larger inside than it appears from outside,” Eyuriah said.
“How can that be?” asked Jack.
“We used our advanced skills to do it,” Orycon replied.
“Where does the road lead to?” asked Jed.
“You shall see,” Eyuriah replied.
So the three mainlanders, who were now adventurers, began to follow the two islanders along the path,
Unaware that there was far more to the cavern than
met the eye.
After travelling for up to five miles, everyone came to a lake, from which a fair few wild horses and wild goats were drinking.
Hundreds of ducks were swimming on the lake, which was teeming with fish and amphibians.
At that point, Orycon closed his eyes and five mushrooms appeared – one for each of the group to sit on.
The adventurers had some food and drink from the rucksack, for they were very hungry and thirsty. So was Hercules, who had some dog biscuits.
“We’d better keep an eye on our rations supply,” Marion said.
“There’s no need to worry about that,” said Eyuriah.
“Why?” Jack asked.
“You’ll see sooner or later,” replied Orycon. “In fact, you won’t need the rucksack from this point onwards.”
He closed his eyes and the rucksack vanished.
“I don’t get it,” Marion said.
“You will,” said Eyuriah.
“On we go,” said Orycon, who made the mushrooms
vanish
Off they all went further along the road, which
continued through the hills, which were getting higher slightly with a fair few bushes and trees on their slopes, along with the grass, the mushrooms, the crystals and the flowers.
Small copses came into sight on higher hills, then larger areas of woodland, where badgers, bears, foxes, squirrels, weasels, wolves and other creatures lurked.
Not only that, for there was something else, which totally stunned the adventurers and that was a flock of Pterodactyls flying about with the birds.
“Unbelievable,” Jack said.
“Did your people create them with the use of advanced technology?” asked Jed.
“No,” Eyuriah replied.” They’ve been here since this cavern was first inhabited.”
“What do you mean by that?” asked Marion.
“You’ll find out later,” Orycon replied.
“Just how big is this cavern?” asked Jack.
“Over a hundred miles both in length and width and up to six miles high at the very centre,” Eyuriah replied.
“It is at the centre of the cavern that our city lies,” said Orycon. “Along with the light source here.”
“Those dinosaurs don’t seem to be showing any sign of attacking us,” Marion said.
“All creatures live in total harmony here,” said Eyuriah.
At one point, everyone came to a crossroads. The other road was of gold too with embedded gems.
“Where do the other two ways lead to?” Ged asked.
“To settlements inhabited by other civilizations,” replied Orycon.
“Other civilizations?” Marion asked.
“Of course,” replied Orycon.
“How many other civilizations are there?” Jack asked.
“Several,” replied Eyuriah.
“Are they highly advanced too?” Ged asked.
“Some are,” replied Orycon.
The group continued straight ahead through the hilly landscape, which was becoming more wooded in places. There were fewer slopes covered with lush grass, but there were yet more life forms about, such as wild boars, snakes and Raptors.
The Raptors stood about eight feet tall with bright green and red stripes and blue eyes. The dinosaurs just stared peacefully at the group as it journeyed onwards.
“Are there other kinds of dinosaur here?” Jack asked.
“There certainly are,” replied Eyuriah.
“What about Tyrannosaurs or Stegosaurs?” Jack asked.
“There are similar kinds,” replied Orycon.
At one point, a group of gypsies with brightly coloured clothes and fine jewellery passed in the opposite direction.
Not far behind them, was a group of fauns and nymphs, accompanied by a mass of playful fairies.
“Unbelievable,” Marion said.
“Such beings live in most areas of the cavern,” said Orycon.
Suddenly, a pair of enormous dragons – one
gold and one silver flew overhead.
“Dragons too,” said Jed.
“People ride them here,” Eyuriah said.
“Will we get the chance to have a ride on them?” asked Jack.
“You will indeed,” Orycon replied.
“Why didn’t we see any of these creatures when we first entered the island?” asked Marion.
“Because they prefer to remain away from the outer areas where there are no trees.” Eyuriah replied. “The same goes for most of the other civilizations.”
Further on, everyone came to another lake, where a
group of gnomes were sitting on toadstools, while ducks were swimming about.
“Gnomes too,” said Jack.
Eyuriah made five large mushrooms appear – giving everyone the chance to sit down.
“I could do with some food,” Marion said.
“So could I,” said Jed.
“Me too,” Jack said.
“Very well,” said Orycon.
He produced a golden bowl of very juicy fruit, including apples and pears for each of the adventurers and some dog biscuits for Hercules. When the bowls were empty, he made them vanish.
“Why did you two not eat?” Marion asked the islanders.
“Because we can go without food for very long periods,” replied Eyuriah.
“Time to continue,” said Orycon, who dematerialised the mushrooms.
So the journey continued.
Along the way, the adventurers saw elves, dwarves, nymphs riding unicorns, Native American Indian-like people riding Raptors, more fairies and lots more.
Furthermore, the sky was more populated with birds, Pterodactyls and dragons, along with griffins and bronze winged horses.
What was more, there was some kind of mysterious hazy orb – situated high up in the air in the far distance.
And then, the group came to a very wide, flat circular space, over twenty miles across with hills surrounding it. What a space it was too.
There were scattered areas of trees, great patches of grass, very large crystal clusters, giant mushrooms, unknown dinosaur species and a two-mile-wide pure white crystal settlement in the centre.
Finally, there was the hazy orb, which was hovering about two miles directly above the centre of the settlement, where there was some kind of thin structure, which dominated over all the other buildings.
“Wow,” said Jack.
“That is our settlement,” Orycon said.
DESCENDANTS OF AN ANCIENT CIVILIZATION
What a bizarre adventure it was turning out to be for Jack, Jed and Marion. They had been sailing on a calm
Sea, when an island appeared out of nowhere - an
island with a wonderful realm inside.
It seemed so inconceivable to them that a whole world existed inside a small mass of land.
But there was still far more to come.
“Are we going to meet more of your people there?” Jack asked.
“Of course,” replied Orycon. “You will meet the members of our Council.”
“How many of you are there?” Marion asked.
“Over fifty thousand,” replied Eyuriah.
“The city must be very packed then?” Jed asked.
“Not exactly,” replied Orycon.
“What do you mean?” Jack asked.
“We have numerous communities scattered about outside the city,” replied Orycon. “Like villages on the main land, where you and your parents live.”
“Do you two live in one of them?” Jed asked.
“No,” replied Eyuriah. “Our places are in the city.”
So everyone made their way towards the city, which
consisted of domes, a tall spire, a pyramid and other kinds of building.
Along the way, they passed a number of wide ring-shaped outer settlements – each of which had thirty tall, round pure white crystal houses with sliding doors, shaped exactly like the pointed ends of eggs.
In each settlement, there were children playing around, adults dancing, singing and playing instruments, cats, dogs, very small unknown two-legged dinosaur species, ponds, fountains, flowers, grassy patches, small trees, bushes and vegetable patches, where more people were working.
Then there were the lakes, from which the dinosaurs were drinking. As for the dinosaurs, there was a whole range of species, including eighty-foot-tall long necked ones, gigantic plated ones, immense horned ones, Tyrannosaur-like ones and many others. All of them were feeding off the vegetation and giant mushrooms.
Then there were the people riding Raptors – like cowboys riding horses and Pterodactyls carrying more people through the air.
But that wasn’t all, for there were a good many Elementals about too, including dragons, countless fairies, trolls, giants and herds of unicorns, all living in perfect harmony.
Furthermore, there were golden roads embedded with gems leading to the smaller settlements.
Then finally, everyone reached the city, which was
surrounded by a thirty-foot wall of crystal blocks, all fitted together so tightly, that not a sheet of tracing
paper could get between and a great crystal archway,
which served as an entrance to the settlement.
All kinds of beings were going in and out of the place, including Elemental beings, people riding unknown kinds of small dinosaur, dogs, cats and people resembling Orycon and Eyuriah.
As for the settlement, it was magnificent with its gigantic structures, which were all separated by plenty of vegetation, including palm trees, countless unknown flowers, vast evergreen trees and wide crystal pathways, which were not crowded.
That wasn’t all, for there was a two-hundred-foot-tall fountain and the hazy sphere, which the adventurers had seen on the way to the city was hovering over the city centre, which was out of sight.
Furthermore, there were dragons flying down into and leaving a vast round building – second to the right of the tall spire, which was up to six hundred feet tall with a dome on top. There were people riding on the dragons.
“Just what is that orb hovering above the city?” Jack asked.
“That is the source of the light in this cavern,” replied Eyuriah.
“How did it get there?” Jed asked.
“Our ancestors placed it there by using levitation technology,” replied Orycon. “Which is still used here today.”
“Is it some sort of crystal?” Marion asked.
“Yes,” replied Eyuriah. “It’s a crystal, which generates light.”
“What are all the buildings here?” Jed asked.
“You shall see later on,” replied Eyuriah.
She and Orycon led the adventurers towards the spire, which was fifty yards beyond the fountain.
Orycon placed his hand on the side of the spire and a large pentagonal entrance appeared – allowing everyone to enter.
“Amazing,” said Jack.
He and his parents were surprised by the astonishing fact that the building was invisible from the inside.
The adventurers began to follow the islanders up a nearly invisible spiral staircase, which ran up to the circular ceiling far above.
As they climbed higher, they were able to see the sheer grandeur of the eight-hundred-foot crystal at the city centre, which was totally spectacular.
Surrounding the titanic crystal was a ring of three-hundred-foot crystals. Surrounding those was a ring of two-hundred-foot fountains. Surrounding that was a wide moat with boats on it. Surrounding the moat was a ring of gardens, enclosed by a circular wall with a huge arched opening in it. On the other side of the wall, there was a wider moat with more boats on it, spanned by a bridge. On the other side of the bridge, there was yet another wall with another huge arched opening in it.
The bridge joined the centre of the settlement to the outer section, which is where all the large buildings and other areas were situated. The outer section of the city surrounded the inner section in a mighty ring.
Then finally, everyone reached the ceiling.
Eyuriah placed her hand on it and a round hole appeared. She and Orycon led the adventurers up through the hole and onto the floor.
The adventurers saw before them a group of twelve people sitting on crystal chairs around a large circular table with a crystal cluster in the centre.
Six of them were men and six were women, all of whom bore the same resemblance to Eyuriah and Orycon – well almost. The only difference was that they were wearing robes. Five of the men and five of the women were wearing shimmering white robes and the other two were wearing dazzling golden robes.
The adventures suspected that they were inside the dome. After all there was no reason why it shouldn’t be invisible from within too.
“Are we in the dome at the top?” Jed asked.
“Indeed we are,” replied Orycon.
“Greetings all,” Eyuriah and Orycon said together.
“I see that you have the outsiders and their dog,” the man in the golden robe said kindly.
“We have my Lord,” said Eyuriah.
The man in the gold robe turned to the adventurers.
“I am Lord Amanu,” he said.
“Greetings Lord Amanu,” the adventurers said together.
“Lord Amanu is at the head of the Council, which you see here,” said Eyuriah.
“Why have we been brought before the Council?” Jack asked.
“To learn all about us,” replied Orycon.
“Finally,” Jed said.
“First however, you three must be introduced to the rest of the Council,” said Eyuriah.
So the rest of the Council members introduced themselves. The other five men were called Koih, Cyras, Iricu, Haroku and Taffi and the women were called Typhania, Sylania, Alohi, Devianna, Ondynu and Lucianna, who happened to be the Lady of the Council and Lord Amanu’s wife, which is why she was dressed in gold.
After that, Lord Amanu ordered Cyras, Typhania and Iricu to literally vanish, so that he and his wife could see the faces of the adventurers, who were ordered to sit in their places.
“Where did they go Lord Amanu?” Jack asked.
“To wherever they wish. They may have gone to another dimension, another planet, another Universe, or maybe inside the Earth.”
The adventurers still couldn’t make out what that meant.
“Now you will learn about our civilization,” said Lord Amanu.
“Fire away,” Jed said.
“We people are the great descendants of a very highly advanced civilization, which once existed in the Pacific Ocean, on a vast landmass called Lemuria.”
“I’m familiar with that name,” Jack said. “Didn’t it sink beneath the surface of the sea or something?”
“That it did,” replied Lord Amanu. “Lemuria went under the waves due to a mighty flood.”
“To escape the flood, our ancestors built this island and almost everything in it, by using extremely advanced technology,” Lady Lucianna said. “They constructed the hills, planted the vegetation, created the lakes, grew the crystals, built the city and much more. They placed the crystal above the city, so as to create light and to activate every other crystal in the cavern, including the one at the centre of this city.”
“How did the other life forms come here?” asked Marion.
“All of the Elementals, such as fairies and dragons came here along with the other civilizations, like our ancestors did,” Lady Lucianna replied. “But all the wildlife was brought here to multiply. You could say that this is a sanctuary for preserving what is left of Lemurian life.”
“So what is inside all the other city buildings?” asked Jack. “What do you have here?”
“We have a school,” Lord Amanu replied. “An art gallery, a sports centre, a food growing area, a temple of all knowledge, a library, which contains the history of Lemuria and all of creation, a theatre, an enclosure for dragons, which are used for riding and a place, which you outsiders will find out about when you leave the island.”
“Why does such a peaceful civilization as yours need a Council?” asked Marion.
“To make sure that everyone in this island is provided for equally,” Lord Manau replied. “To decide what’s best for the people and to make sure that the harmony remains unbroken.
“In fact, we are now deciding whether to spread our own civilization to other areas of the cavern, or to other underground Lemurian settlements.
“Furthermore, we are deciding whether or not to build other Lemurian havens for our growing population.”
“Why all this change?” asked Marion.
“Because we live very long lives,” Lady Lucianna replied. “I myself am one thousand years old.”
“But you all look so young,” said Jed.
“Appearances don’t matter,” Lord Amanu said.
“Why do so many people live outside the city than in?” asked Jack.
“Because only people who have jobs, such as teachers are allowed to live here, along with their families. “Lady Lucianna replied. “Eyuriah and Orycon, who run errands for the Council have places here. Even the Council members, including myself and Lord Amanu have our own houses, which are round like all Lemurian houses. They are invisible from the inside too, just like all the other buildings in the city and the houses in the smaller settlements surrounding it.”
The adventurers weren’t surprised to hear that – seeing as they were inside an invisible building.
“This is all very exciting,” said Jack. “But what became
of the civilizations, which didn’t end up inside the island?”
“Nearly all of them were wiped out,” Lord Amanu replied. “Those that only just made it fled into underground caverns, where they have remained to this day. They used their advanced knowledge to seal off the cave entrances to prevent the flood waters from entering.”
“Will we be able to visit one of those civilizations?” asked Marion.
“No,” replied Lady Lucianna. “You outsiders will be taken to other parts of the city by Eyuriah and Orycon.”
“What then?” Jack asked.
“You’ll find out later,” replied Lord Amanu.
The adventurers had to be satisfied with that.
THE CITY
Once outside the council building, Orycon and Eyuriah led the adventurers to a massive domed structure, up to three hundred metres wide with a huge pentagonal opening, which people were going in and out of.
The adventurers were amazed to find that the building was a spectacular art gallery. Within the museum, there were hundreds of crystal statues of all different sizes – statues of dinosaurs, Elemental beings, people from different civilizations, other forms of wildlife, flowers, trees and much more. In the centre of the gallery, there was a life-sized statue of a dragon with its wings folded.
All around the circular invisible wall, were hundreds of different sized paintings. They looked as if they were
hovering in mid-air.
Furthermore, there were hundreds of people marvelling the artwork.
“This is all so fantastic,” said Marion, who was gazing at a life-sized statue of a unicorn.
Jack was staring at a painting of a unicorn and a mermaid by the sea, while Jed was admiring a painting of a naked nymph in a forest.
Marion stared at Jed out of the corner of her eye and laughed to herself.
The other paintings were fascinating too. They were of people, wildlife, Elementals, areas of the city, the sea, areas inside the cavern and many more things.
“This is a marvellous gallery,” Jed said.
“I wonder what all of the grand masters and impressionists would make of it all,” said Marion.
“Sculptors like Michelangelo would be ever so envious.”
After leaving the art gallery, the adventurers were led to a four-hundred-metre-wide dome, which people were leaving and entering, through a massive triangular entrance.
The building turned out to be a huge food plantation, where all kinds of nuts, fruit and vegetables were being
grown.
As the group walked around the dome, which was invisible from within, they watched people at work. When someone picked a vegetable, a piece of fruit, or a nut, another would appear instantly in its place.
“I don’t get it,” said Jack. “Why do the people do this, when they can create food out of thin air?”
“We like to grow food for the fun of it,” Eyuriah said. “It has been done since this island was created.”
“I could do with some food while we’re here,” said Marion.
“And me,” Jed said.
“Me too,” said Jack.
Eyuriah and Orycon picked some apples, oranges and grapes, which the adventurers ate and some biscuits for Hercules. Then finally, everyone left the plantation.
Once outside again, they walked past a mammoth fountain, up to two hundred feet in height, before entering a vast circular building, through a hexagon-shaped opening.
The immense building happened to be the sports
centre, which consisted of a basketball court, a tennis court, a small football pitch, a bowling alley, a gymnastics area and plenty of other things. The adventurers found it hard to believe that the sports were being played inside a building, seeing as the centre was invisible from the inside.
Jack wanted to join in with the football, but he knew that he wasn’t in the sports centre to play games. He was just as disappointed about it when he and the rest of the group left the building.
The next building, which the adventurers were led into, was octagonal with a great pentagonal entrance. It happened to be a gigantic library with shelves containing many thousands of crystal tablets of some sort, running all the way around the high invisible walls.
There were hundreds of people in the library – either sitting on crystal stools around crystal tables, or removing tablets from the shelves and replacing them. They couldn’t reach the higher shelves, so they used levitation skills to remove and replace the tablets. However, there were no children about.
“This library contains all the history of Lemuria said Eyuriah. “Just as Lord Amanu said.”
“Why are there no children about?” asked Marion.
“Because they are taught a certain amount of information at school,” Orycon replied.
“I see.”
“It’s the same in most other Lemurian cities,” said Eyuriah.
“How many other Lemurian cities are there?” Jed asked.
“Over a hundred so far,” replied Orycon. “All of which
Are inhabited by descendants of those who survived
the flood.”
“How many Lemurians are there today?” Jack asked.
“Millions,” replied Eyuriah. “Including ourselves.”
“Do they have libraries like this too?” Jack asked.
“They do indeed,” replied Orycon.
“This surpasses any library in the world outside,” Jed said.
“Well now that you outsiders have seen it, we’ll move onto the next building,” said Orycon.
So the party left the library and continued onwards. On the way, it passed two triangular beds of multicoloured flowers, an immense statue of a long-necked dinosaur, another huge fountain and a patch of palm trees.
Then finally, everyone entered a giant hexagonal structure with a domed roof and a keyhole-shaped opening.
The building, which of course was invisible from within, turned out to be the school, but what a school it was.
Unlike any ordinary school with its classrooms, its canteen and its assembly hall, it had groups of twelve children sitting on crystal chairs, around circular tables, all over the place. Each group was of a different age and accompanied by a man or a woman.
All of the children were dressed in gleaming white
uniforms and adults, who were the teachers, were
dressed in copper uniforms.
The strangest thing was the fact that there were no textbooks, no writing equipment, no calculators, no schoolbags, nor anything else that a pupil would own.
Instead, every group was studying a hologram – projecting from a holographic deck in the middle of each table.
Other than that, there were plenty of flowers and small golden trees growing in pots, crystal clusters on stands and countless fairies flying about.
Then of course there was the fact that the structure was invisible from within.
“Amazing! Said Marion.
“Why are they all looking at holograms, instead of reading from textbooks?” asked Jack.
“Because it’s far more exciting for our children to watch holographic plays based on history, than to learn about it from books, which have a limited amount of information,” Orycon replied.
“Why are there so many fairies about?” asked Marion.
“Because fairies love children,” Eyuriah replied.
“Well, now that you outsiders have seen a Lemurian school, we’ll move on,” said Orycon.
Once outside the school, the group continued on – passing more palm trees and flower beds, a vast statue
of a dragon and another fountain.
Then everyone entered a building, which wasn’t enormous like the others around. It was slightly rectangular in shape with a curved roof and a large opening, shaped like a seven-sided coin in one of the longer sides. Then there was the fact that the building was invisible from the inside.
It just so happened that the building was the theatre. One half of it was for the audience and the other half was the stage. But for some peculiar reason, there were no stage curtains, no play props and no actors.
Instead, there was a man with a brass suit, brass boots and a brass top hat, standing behind a holographic deck in front of an audience of over a thousand people, all sitting on crystal seats. Many of them had dogs.
Fortunately, there were five spaces on one of the higher rows, which gave the adventurers and their guides a chance to sit.
After that, the man on the stage placed a holographic device on the deck and the play began. What a play it was too.
It started off with two unknown landmasses – situated on a rotating globe of the Earth – unknown because they weren’t even meant to be there. The smaller land mass was in the Atlantic Ocean and the much larger one was in the Pacific.
At one point, the Earth stopped rotating, so that the huge landmass in the Pacific was facing the audience.
The hologram then changed from a globe to a map of the landmass, which had the name (LEMURIA) written on it.
Then it changed into a range of high mountains, where birds, Pterodactyls, dragons and other winged life forms were flying; then into a bay where whales, dolphins, seals and Mer people were swimming; then into a highly advanced crystal settlement with people like Orycon and Eyuriah living in it; then into a primitive settlement with less advanced people living in it; then a boy riding a dragon across a plain, where dinosaurs were moving about like giraffes, elephants and buffalo; then a woodland clearing, where fauns, fairies, satyrs and nymphs were dancing; then for some very bizarre reason, an asteroid.
But it wasn’t over yet, because the hologram changed shape to show the incredibly large asteroid strike the heart of the landmass with tremendous force – scattering terrain and sending out immense ripples of dust over a very wide area.
It then showed earthquakes, avalanches, volcanic eruptions and other kinds of disasters. Smoke from ferocious fires rose up into the leaden sky and volcanic ash was scattered all over the place.
It then showed people and many other kinds of animals
enter the island. Then it showed people and other life forms journeying underground.
After that it showed most of the continent crumble
away into the sea. Only a few scattered islands remained.
And finally, the hologram changed back into a globe of the Earth, but without the Lemurian continent.
After that, the man removed the device from the deck and received a round of applause. He then vanished, along with the deck, before everyone left the theatre.
“That was awesome,” said Jack.
“Now you know a small fraction of the Earth’s history,” Orycon said.
“What was that landmass in the Atlantic?” Jed asked as the tour continued.
“That was the continent of Atlantis,” replied Eyuriah.
“I thought Atlantis was a legendary island,” Marion said.
“That’s what other outsiders believe,” said Orycon. “But Atlantis was a continent like Lemuria. Unfortunately, it faced a similar fate two thousand years after Lemuria, which sank twelve thousand years ago.”
Finally, everyone reached a mammoth pyramid, up to five hundred feet high with a triangular opening.
Once inside the pyramid, they made their way along a triangular passage, which led to a huge square chamber with a domed ceiling. Just like the rest of the pyramid, it was invisible from the inside.
Within the chamber, there were hundreds of people seated on the floor in the lotus position with their eyes closed. All of them were facing towards the centre, where there was a circular platform. Suspended thirty feet above the platform, was a gigantic, round crystal with countless facets – about thirty feet across.
“You’ll all have to be very silent in here,” Orycon whispered to the adventurers.
“Why?” Jack whispered.
“Because it is our temple,” replied Eyuriah. “They must concentrate while meditating.”
The group walked silently around the edge of the chamber before leaving the pyramid.
“You outsiders have just been inside the temple of all knowledge,” said Orycon.
That doesn’t make any sense,” Jed said “What’s the
point in having a temple when you have all the knowledge in the library?”
“Because the library doesn’t contain spiritual knowledge,” replied Eyuriah. “Such knowledge can only be gained when we meditate.”
There was a moment’s silence.
“I’d like to see where you two live here,” Marion said.
“We’re going to take you outsiders there now,” said Orycon.
The islanders led the adventurers past a pond with ducks swimming on it, a vast statue of a winged horse, another flower bed, more trees and a massive fountain.
They then went through a large area of gardens, where there were thousands of colourful flowers, unknown trees, children playing on patches of grass, numerous fairies, gnomes, animal statues, ponds teeming with life, cats, adults walking dogs along crystal paths, very small two-legged dinosaurs and plenty more.
On the other side of the gardens, there was a large area of land with a few trees, plenty of grass, a couple of ponds and dozens of crystal houses scattered about. The houses were shaped like those in the settlements outside the city.
“Most impressive,” Jed said.
“These houses belong to all the people that work here
in the city,” said Orycon. “And their families – ours included.
“It’s a paradise for our children to play in,” Eyuriah said.
“Do you two have children?” asked Marion.
“We sure do,” Orycon replied.
“Will they grow up to be Council servants?” asked Jack.
“Only if they want too,” Eyuriah replied. “No one is forced to do anything here. In other words, we have
Free will – as long as we use it for good, which is
always.”
“I see.”
“Where will you two take us now?” asked Marion.
“To the city centre,” Orycon replied.
So that’s exactly what happened. The group passed through more gardens on the way.
The adventurers were inspired enough by everything so far, but the city centre, which they had seen while climbing up to the Council chamber, was something else altogether.
The party went through the great arched opening in the outer wall, crossed the moat, crossed the bridge and entered the gardens, through the opening in the inner wall.
“I could do with some food and water,” Marion said.
“Me too,” said Jack.
“And me,” Jed said.
The islanders produced plenty of fruit and three crystal cups of water for the adventurers and several dog biscuits for Hercules.
Jack and his parents nourished themselves as they followed their guides through the gardens, which were just like all the other gardens they had been in.
Then finally, after making a complete circuit around the moat, everyone left the city centre.
“Where are you two taking us next?” Jack asked the islanders.
“You shall see,” replied Eyuriah.
So the adventurers followed their guides towards a gigantic structure – unaware that they were in for something, which was going to take things to a whole new level.
The subject of Lemuria isn’t one, which I just made up.
There really was such a continent, which was submerged by the Pacific. There are descendants of the survivors living settlements in underground caverns. One such settlement is known a Telos. Telos is situated inside Mount Shasta in California. It’s definitely worth looking into.
HIDDEN REALMS PART ONE(BEN BROWN)
HIDDEN REALITIE’S PART ONE

04/24/2021I was drawn inside this science fiction story, and couldn't stop reading it until the story ended. Ben has writing skills that color and define everything he writes about so he paints a picture for his readers to see & understand who the people, places, and things are, and allows the reader to create their own mental pictures of the settings and people, animals, and ficticious beings. I want to read more of his short stories. I loved the fact that he took us to a place of legend at the Triangle. This was one of Ben Brown's finast publications. Linda, New York. USA
