April Magic
Born 2010, F, from Beaverton, United StatesI was doing my boring homework in my room at night when a fairy the size of a hummingbird flew right in front of me. I stared at it.
“I will let you have a power tomorrow,” it said. “What would you like it to be?”
“I want to be able to turn invisible whenever I want.” I said. The fairy waved her wand and then suddenly, a bolt of bright pink light shot right at me. Then the fairy disappeared.
I started doing my homework again and I soon finished. Then I climbed into bed and went to sleep.
It was only five o’clock in the morning when I woke up. I looked at the calendar. It was April Fool’s Day. Then I remembered what the fairy had said. I thought about myself being invisible and then I looked at myself in the mirror. I couldn’t see myself. Then, I went into my father’s bedroom. I grabbed a can of whipped cream and a feather. I squirted a handful of whipped cream on his hand and then tickled his face with the feather. I watched as he slapped his face. Whipped cream was all over his face. I giggled. I thought of new tricks I would do.
When it was seven thirty, my mom woke up. My dad already woke up because of the whipped cream. I secretly went out to the front yard and put a fake flower in the front yard. The flower worked like a sprayer. I would fill it up with water. It would have a place to store the water under the flower. I would squeeze it and water would shoot out of a secret hole in the middle of the flower.
When my mom was going out to work, she saw the flower I had placed. It was different from all the other flowers. She picked up the flower. Then, I turned invisible. I walked up in front of her and squeezed the part where water was stored. My mom’s face was wet and her hair was drenched in water. Madly, she walked back in the house and dried her hair and walked out the door again. I giggled again. It was funny to see my family get pranked.
Then I went to school.
At lunch time, I asked one of my friends to open a can for me. I watched as she twisted the lid. Suddenly, a rubber spider shot out of the can and landed on my friend’s head.
“Aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!” she screamed. Everyone burst into laughter. It was so funny.
After school, I saw my sister watching TV. I turned invisible so no one could see me put a blueberry in a candy wrapper. I turned visible again, then I walked over to my sister.
“Do you want a candy?” I asked.
“Yeah.” she said. I gave her the blueberry that was wrapped in a candy wrapper. My sister was so into the TV channel that she was watching that she didn't notice that it wasn't actually a candy inside. She but the blueberry in her mouth and then her eyes grew wide. My sister hated blueberries. She paused the TV and she rushed to the sink to spit the blueberry out.
It had been a fun day.
The End!
