The owl flew over Josie's backyard just as she hopped onto her swing. After she saw it, she pumped her legs as hard as she could to touch the snowy white and fluffy massive bird. Instead, the owl flew around her backyard and landed right on the brown wooden fence. "Hi there owl," Josie said quietly, "what are you doing here?" The owl flew to the bottom of one of the trees and, with his sharp beak, grabbed a small mouse that was hiding behind one of the branches that had fallen off. "So all you wanted from our backyard was some food!" Josie exclaimed. The owl looked at her once, and then, without hesitation, flew away with its food.
Josie continued to swing, anxious for the next sign of wildlife.
