A Tale Of A Leprechaun: A St.Patricks Day Story
Born 2008, F, from Portland, Oregon, United StatesThis is Mindy, and I'm leprechaun! I have to keep my gold safe from greedy children and adults. I'm going to tell you what happened on one, HORRIBLE day. So, I was walking in a class room. I saw dozens of traps. But none of them fooled me! I chuckled at their traps. I wrote rude notes and opened up my pocket of chocolate gold. I figured they still would be happy if they got chocolate. I was just walking on the far side of a desk, when I saw an awesome little house! It was very nice. So I walked in, but I fell through a crack in the floor! I heard shouts coming from the right. I turned pale. That meant that the children were coming! I couldn't let them know I was real! I suddenly saw two hands opening up the box. I covered my eyes. The girl picked me up. I was so scared! I twisted and turned.
"Don't worry. I won't hurt you." She said. I didn't trust this lying human for one second! Everybody knew that humans wanted gold! At least, that was how I thought it worked. But I was proven wrong! The girl walked to the window and gently nestled me in the bushes. She waved goodbye, and I just ran off, happy to be free. But I felt guilty, so the next day, I jumped in her class room window and left some gold in her desk. I wrote a note as well, saying my name and address. I scampered off when I heard the door opening. I ran to my cozy little leprechaun home and counted my gold. I snuggled into bed, to take a quick leprechaun nap. When i woke up, a giant envelope was in front of my trunk. I opened it, and it had the address of the little girl! And her name. Apparently, she was named "Emma". So I hoped you enjoyed my tale. And since you have been good, I'll tell you my address and give you some gold. I live at The Tiny Trunk Next To The Giant Field. Now, I'm getting sleepy, so don't bother me anymore! We will have plenty of time for my tales tomorrow. Who knows? Maybe you'll have your OWN tale to tell me. And the moral of the story is, don't get cocky!
