Punctuation.
Born 1990, F, from Bogotá, ColombiaThe most effective way to teach punctuation in the classrooms is first to recognize the age of our audience. In this article I have chosen ages 5 to 8. Thereafter, I want to propose the topic through children’s stories, fables, urban legends and even jokes. It is with the appropriated intention to foster them. Once we have chosen the written extract we can highlight the basic punctuation rules and the elements in it. Allowing thus, the child emphasizes not only the writing aspect but also reading comprehension. However, I suggest another way to work in the breaks. While the child is reading out, we have to incentive him or her to clap for each pause that he or she can find in the lecture. This is only an active method to learn some types of punctuation, that is, only commas and periods.
