Drifting Apart
Born 9200, F, from Evansville, IN, United StatesBriana was a smart girl who always wanted to achieve her goals and dreams of being a doctor. When signing up for electives in high school, she came across a program named Medical Professions Academy (MPA). She definitely wanted to do that since she wanted to be in the medical field.
Lots of people say that once you go into high school, your group of friends won't be the same. She didn't believe that. She had a best friend named Patricia, and she knew they would remain best friends. But she was wrong.
At the program MPA she had to go to another school half the day, every day. The program has people from all schools in the district, and she met many new friends. There was two girls who she has classes at the program with every day that also go to her home school. So she got close with them.
Back at her home school she only got to see her friends and Patricia at the end of each day. She noticed Patricia was drifting away from her and replacing her for a new friend. She hinted that she felt like they weren't close anymore but Patricia didn't pay her no mind.
Patricia is a very sports-minded person. She plays basketball, volleyball, and track. Briana on the other hand was all academics. So that is the one thing they don't have in common.
Briana went through a stage of regret for going to the program at the other school and felt it was her fault that she wasn't as close to Patricia and her other friends as they were.
Then she remembered why she did the program. To be a doctor. That was the career she wanted to pursue. She would do anything to achieve her goal, and if she had to lose friends, even her best friend, she would.
